Welcome to Dann Studio's home page! It is situated downtown Varna, Bulgaria.
It is a small but yet a very quality one. With its 10 sq. meters of recording-room and a bunch of top-quality studio gear and instruments, this place is great for your guitar and vocal-tracking, voice-over project, radio- or TV-advertisement, mixing and pre-mastering. Full drum-set could also be placed-in and recorded. The recording room is very comfortable with it's clima & air-conditioning system. First time a friend of mine came into my studio - staying a minute in silence, he finally said: "There is a lot of positive energy at this place!". I guess he is right!
The recording room is evaluated by room-mode calculator and sound-proof'ed by EchoPol panels.
The recording system is PC based and consists a dual TFT 19" screen (4 GB RAM and 1.5 TB HDD). Main audio-interface is a Tascam FW-1884 (firewire) motorized-faders surface combined with a TASCAM FW-1804. You get a total of 24 inputs. The PC's middle-size tower case is a ultra-low-noise / super-silent coolers loaded.
A DBX 386 is the main microphone tube preamp/converter.
Main hardware signal-processor is the well known and powerful Eventide Orville that offers 4 inputs/4 outputs with highest-grade convertors. This unit kicks the realtime- or post-processing quality level close to the maximum possible - it just has everything you might need during entire workflow.
The main mics are CAD VSM tube, a couple of Gefell mics (UM-70, M-70 with M-692 preamps), Shure SM-57 / SM-58.
Main guitar amps & preamps: Hughes&Kettner TriAmp Mk II guitar amp (100W), Mesa Boogie Simul Class 2:90 stereo tube amp (2x90W), Hughes&Kettner Metal Master tube preamp, Hughes&Kettner TubeMan II preamp, Mesa Boogie Triaxis tube preamp, Mesa Formula Pre tube preamp.
Main guitar cabs: Hughes&Kettner 4x12" VC30 - Celestion Vintage 30 loaded. Mesa Boogie 1x12" (2 pieces) Recto Cabs - Celestion Vintage 30 loaded.
